Blazing Burger
Ingredients
In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, then form 4 x 6 oz. patties and set aside. Fry the bacon unit it is crispy and set aside wrapped in a paper towel. On the griddle or skillet leave a small amount of bacon grease and fry the patties, flipping them a couple of times, over medium-high heat. When the patties are close to being done, add the Jalapeno peppers to the griddle or skillet to bring out their flavor. On the cooked patty(*), layer the Jalapeno Peppers, 2 slices of Bacon, 1 slice Hot Pepper Jack Cheese and then place a lid over the patty so that the cheese melts over the other ingredients – this will only take a few seconds! While the cheese is melting lay the two halves of each Kaiser roll face down on the griddle or skillet to toast. As soon as the cheese has melted, build your burger and serve with lettuce, a slice of tomato and maybe a nice dill pickle on the side! Enjoy!
(*) while some people prefer their burgers a little pink in the middle – for safety reasons we always cook our burgers to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F in accordance with USDA guidelines. Provided you use good quality, fresh ground beef – even well done burgers will be moist and full of juicy flavor!
